Absinthe is a very misunderstood spirit. Mostly in regard to its hallucinogenic properties, of which there are none. Oh right, spoiler!
The truth is, this isn’t some demon drink -- well, at least as far as other high-proof alcohol is concerned. If you sit down with a bottle of Everclear, Bicardi 151, or some homemade Kentucky moonshine, you’re going to end up in the exact same place absinthe would land you. Jail, probably.
But not if it’s enjoyed responsibly, of course. Which is why we’re once again joined by Trever Fehrenbach to give us a little bit of history on this mysterious drink, as well as how to prepare it, in a way that is likely enjoyed by everyone but Jason.
